I worked at a festival in Bournemouth, it was pure hell. 14 hour shifts with a 20 minute break. I want to work at some of the festivals you're talking about!

fringing and crop tops are my favourite summer and festival garms this year! topshop have some great little vest crop tops and i saw a lovely fringed crop top in there the other day - a result combining the two!

I've always thought working at festivals would be amazing! And you've really given me an insight into the best way to get into it. Having access to a shower definitely sounds like a good perk to the job too! Thanks Kateland

Northampton isn't too far from my home town! I'd not heard of this festival before, I like that this is a festival that offers much more than music and deals with wider issues and talks. I will definitely look in to tickets this summer. Thank you for the insight!

Ben I understand where you are coming from, with more pressure to look good at particular festivals some festival goers prefer to spend a little extra on fashion. They are weekends to be enjoyed and there definitely is no specific dress code so don't feel pressured to buy expensive pieces. I have advised charity shops because they can supply excellent quirky pieces and accessories at a bargain price.

This festival looks like it has so much festival. It reminds me of Beachbreak in the way Beachbreak started out so small and has grown rapidly (I went last year and am going back this year). Let's hope Knee Deep's got the same room to grow!

I understand your points, some are more fashion conscious at festivals than others perhaps trying stores such as Primark and H&M, who i go to for all my festival clothing. I hope this helps and you go to a festival soon.

I can't wait to go Bestival this year. Hoping it will be a bit different as I've been V Festival four years running. This is great - can't wait to go in fancy dress! Also, Stevie Wonder as headliner is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Didn't know about the environmental stuff and am liking the sound of it even more!

Okay it might be because I'm a total virgin when it comes to festivals etc. I like the article, but I always think to myself when I read stuff like this, do people go to this effort and buy this when it either gets lost, stolen or trampled in mud/mixture of all three. I agree with some of your point, it just baffles me how people can still go out and buy stuff like this (especially when the prices get crammed up especially for it)

Maybe it's just a sign of how little money I have to burn :p

Bestival sounds amazing! I didn't know it had such a strong dedication to environmental causes, and the fancy dress sounds great. Starting to regret getting a ticket for Reading now ;)
